cult movies online

   ANOTHER SMALL ENDEAVOUR OF MINE.

OFF THE BUSINESS WIRES:

"Cult Movies Online was the first on-demand internet movie website created in May 2003 devoted exclusively to cult movies. It was ahead of its time, streaming motion pictures in real time to pay-per-view and subscription customers globally years before Netflix, Youtube and Hulu existed. It was the brainchild of James Golff, who had been a co-creator of Cinemapop one of the first online websites to stream movies  back in 1999.

Golff launched, built and oversaw operations of the site which took off and was an immediate hit.  The simple but efficient design and user-friendly functionality was the work of webmaster John McKay who created its visual appeal. His role as art director was the perfect fit for editor and author Golff. Together they churned out page after page of movie design, repackaged, licensed and presented in the new format of online entertainment.. Cult Movies Online was sold  to International Broadcasting Corp in 2006 for an undisclosed amount of restricted stock and cash. IBC was underfunded and went under a few years later taking Cult Movies Online with it. With the right timing and funding it could have been huge.

In addtion to creating United Independent Distributors, Camp Motion Pictures and Cult Movies Online, James Golff also worked with industry legends Lorenzo Lamas and James Coburn. After selling Cult Movies Online he retired and disappeared from the independent film production and distribution business occasionally resurfacing as a media consultant for independent projects."

This is how my website appeared back in 2004 before I sold it to IBC Inc. Before  youtube, before  netflix and before vevo  before smartphones - we were the first  to stream alternative full - length  feature films on a pay-per-view and subscription based format directly to your PC.
